Global Impact: El Salvador

Approximately half of all Salvadorans live in poverty – lacking electricity or running water in their homes. Free education is offered to children up to ninth grade, but many families cannot afford the cost of required supplies and transportation. Malnutrition is a leading cause of death among the impoverished population.

Community Church partners with Salvadoran churches, teaching and training pastors, leaders, and interns, as well as encouraging and supporting outreach to their communities. Community Church also partners with Orphan Helpers, sending Global Impact Teams to provide encouragement and support of Salvadoran employees working in orphanages and juvenile detention centers using the Success Academy program to empower youth as they prepare for adulthood.
