Pointing the next generation to Jesus is one of the most important things we get to do. We want to help kids live fully alive by knowing who God is and His purpose for their lives. Every weekend all children (6 weeks through 5th grade) experience a safe, irresistible atmosphere designed to help them learn about Jesus on their level. We want kids to love church and to take steps at every age to grow in their relationship with God and get more connected in His house.
We will meet your family, check your child, and one of our volunteers will lead you and your child to their age-appropriate room. Sharing some personal information will help us best serve you, such as your contact info and any special instructions for caring for your child.
One of our volunteers will help you check in your child at any available station. After finding your child’s name in the database, you and your child will be given matching identification tags with numbers that are exclusive to your family and your visit. Your child will need to wear the name tag portion while you keep the matching tag. After the service, you will return to your child’s room and show your tag in order for your child to be released back to you.
In the event that we need to contact you during the service, your identification code will appear on a screen in the auditorium.
We have created an environment where your kids feel safe. Our loving volunteers are trained to create an atmosphere where families can confidently leave their children while they are in service. Every volunteer is screened with an interview and background check, and every hallway is monitored by safety personnel.
On your way home, be sure to ask your child questions like, “Did you have fun?” and “What did you learn today?” It’s our goal that every child has a great answer to these two questions, every week!
Our children are such an amazing gift, and they grow up so fast! Dedications are a chance for parents or guardians to publicly commit to providing a firm foundation in the love and hope of Jesus. It is a commitment to being intentional and partnering together as a community to love and support one another. As a church, we are so excited to share in the celebration of this special milestone for you and your family.
Through The Park, we are able to engage children with special needs. Trained staff and volunteers lovingly serve kids to help them learn about Jesus in a way that meets their needs best. For our friends with special needs we offer a “buddy” experience with a trained volunteer that is focused on engaging them in the life of the church. The Park is designed to introduce children to a God that loves them exactly how they are. Contact us to tell us about your child and we’ll work out a plan for them!
Worship School is for students grades 4–12! They will get hands-on experience with our Worship team to learn more about what worship is and how God has called them to use their talents at Community Church. Worship School is every Thursday evening, 6:00–7:30pm, from January 16 through April 2, at the Western Branch Campus.
