Why We Fast
We are setting aside 21 days to fast and pray, believing that God has greater things in store for us, both in our lives and in the future of Community Church. Fasting is about surrender, letting go of lesser things so God can do more in us and through us.
“Very truly I tell you, whoever believes in me will do the works I have been doing, and they will do even greater things than these.” – John 14:12
Fasting creates space for God’s presence to move in powerful ways.
As we deny ourselves, we draw closer to Him, trusting that His plans for us as individuals and as a church are greater than anything we could imagine.
We invite you to join Community Church for 21 Days of Prayer & Fasting as we seek God for greater things in our lives and our church’s next season.
How Are We Fasting for 21 Days?
For these 21 days, we’re doing a Daniel Fast together. That means simplifying what we eat and focusing on fruits, vegetables, whole grains, legumes, nuts, seeds, and water while stepping away from meat, sweets, processed foods, and other comforts.
The goal isn’t simply to change what’s on our plate. It’s to intentionally remove distractions and create more room to seek God through prayer and time in His Word. As we fast together, we’re asking God to deepen our dependence on Him and bring breakthrough in our lives, families, church, and community.
