What to expect
Walking into a new church can feel overwhelming, but don’t worry! You’ll be greeted by friendly faces, and no one will single you out. The service includes uplifting music and a message designed to encourage you wherever you are in your faith journey.
Parking
- Arrive 15 minutes early.
- From the 400 block of Adams Avenue, turn left towards the parking garage.
- Park on the first level. Do not go up the ramps.
- Exit the parking garage and turn right on Dix Court.
- Turn left between the Cultural Center and the library.
- Turn left on Washington Ave.
- Take the elevator to the 4th floor.
Our style
Our services are laid-back but purposeful. Expect vibrant worship music and messages that are both practical and relevant to your life. We focus on the Bible and how it applies to real life, no matter where you’re coming from.

There’s a place here for your whole family, a chance to learn about Jesus, grow in faith, and find friendships that will feel like home. Come be part of a community where every age can explore faith, share life’s moments, and feel connected in a meaningful way.
Preschool
Infants - 5 Years old
Each Sunday, during both our 9:30 and 11am services, cKids Early Childhood has age-appropriate environments, designed with your child in mind. From our nursery ministry to preschool, you will find a safe and fun place for your kids to learn about God with dedicated, caring adults who are passionate about helping your child feel special and loved.
Elementary
K - 6th Grade
This is the perfect place for your K - 6th grader to learn that they can trust God, make wise choices and treat others the way they way to be treated. Our age-appropriate services are Sundays at 9:30 + 11am are led by dedicated adult leaders who help them discover these core truths, along with forming friendships and ultimately, having one of the best hours of their week!
Join a Group
Small groups offer the chance to ask questions, share life’s highs and lows, and strengthen your walk with God alongside others who truly care.

This city is resilient, full of heart, and filled with people who care deeply about their community. My wife Lauren and I have come to love this place, and that’s why Community Church exists – to be for Scranton.
We believe faith in Jesus brings purpose and hope, and that no one should do life alone. Everything we do flows from one conviction: nothing over love.
